Stuck Pixel Fixer
Dead or stuck?
Dead pixel
Black on every background. The pixel gets no power at all, so no program can bring it back.
Stuck pixel
Stays red, green, blue or white, or shows the wrong color on some backgrounds. Part of it is stuck on, and fast flashing can sometimes free it.
Does it really help?
Sometimes. It works best on LCD screens and on pixels that got stuck recently. If the pixel is still there after 3 or 4 runs, it is most likely dead or a hardware fault, and the screen warranty is the next step.
How to use it
- Find the pixel. The Display Test fills the screen with plain colors, so a stuck pixel is easy to spot.
- Choose how long to run and press Start fixing. The screen turns black with a flashing square.
- Drag the square over the pixel, or tap the spot. The + and − buttons or the mouse wheel change its size.
- Leave it until the timer ends, then check the pixel. Repeat 2 or 3 times if needed.
Time
Flashing light warning. This tool flashes colors very fast. Don’t use it if you, or anyone who can see the screen, has photosensitive epilepsy or is sensitive to flashing light. Don’t stare at the square while it runs.
Confirm the warning above to start.
Full screen isn’t available here, so the flashing runs inside this window. Make the window bigger or open the tool on its own page.
