Arrow keys move the pixel cursor (Ctrl: 8 pixels) and Space uses the tool there. Hold Space to keep drawing with the pencil or the eraser. Lines, shapes and selections take a Space at each end. With the Move tool, the arrow keys move the selection or the layer. Shift+Space draws with the second color.
